For anyone thinking of doing business with Troy Costa do yourself a favor..stay clear of him! He is a crook to say the least. I gave him 7500.00 deposit to paint my 32 Ford, motor, and Tranny. He promised he would have the motor back to me in 3 weeks. 7 months later and only after I went to his shop and helped him remove the motor from the wood box in came in did I get it back. The paint job was terrible, he missed no less than 8 spots on the block and the paint on left side of the block was crystallized due to his lack of allowing the candy paint to cure. He forgot to paint the Harmonic balancer, he took the balancer back to his shop and said he would have it back to me in one week. 5 weeks went by and no word from troy! I went to his shop asked to see it and sure enough he had not touched it. After negotiating with him for the return of the balance of my money, he agreed to pay me 6000.00. It has now been 4 months and he has not paid anything. According to the BBB, the Franchise Tax Board had suspended his license. I spoke to the District Attorney's office and filed a police report for theft. I also notified the BAR. He has a long history here in the Sacramento valley of fraud. He has the ability to sell himself, he is very good at that, and he will steal from you with a smile on his face. He currently has the Line X franchise here in Roseville @ 420 Berry St. I will face him in court.

This clown Troy Costa should be in prison as well as his sidekick in crime Darlene. He embezzled from a previous computer company he worked for. Funny I found him doing the same crap to people years later.

Name of business, Auto Works, Inc. Auto Works Collision Repair, AutoWorks of Gold River, this man steals, cheats and lies. Troy Costa said he could finish my 34 three window Coupe project, he took my cash $$$ and lied everyday to me and did nothing in four months. Today we had to bring our beautiful 34 Coupe home in pieces. This business will destroy the city of Roseville, he already had to leave Loomis. What's next?

Auto Works Collision Center is the same as AutoWork's Inc. and also Autoworks of Gold River and they are NOT a reputable business. They owe many other business owners money and I have talked to car owners with some classic car clubs and was told they take money from their customers and then do not get the work done on the cars they take in. They sub work out to other businesses and then do not pay those businesses for the work. Many of those businesses have stated that they will put a lien on the next car brought to them by Troy & Darlene Costa of Autoworks. They talk nice and make you believe them but they make many excuses and lies while they spend your money on their personal things. They have moved locations several times and changed the business name in order to avoid bill collectors. Check the Better Business Bureau for complaints. Business Owners and Consumers Beware !!
