Overall
Caring Compassionate and Clean

My Mom was a resident here. My wife and I spent quite a bit of time with her when we would visit from out of town. The staff, from Brenda Chapman and her family to caregivers, Katrina, Linda, Paula and Jennifer are special people. They work hard in the feeding and caring of folks who have limited capacity to help themselves. They provided an atmosphere that was close to being in a home with a big family. Although the house is kept very clean it is not a sterile feeling like a hospital or total care nursing home. Ocassionally there is a well behaved youngster or two in the vicinity from the Chapman family or one of the caregivers. They add to the atmosphere of a home. Brenda lives on site and is very hands- on and aware of what is going on. They have watchful security apparatus that alert them to the comings and goings of patients and their visiting families. My mother was in her last days and could not assist herself as well as some of the residents. The caregivers were ever attentive . She was helped to sit up often and eat with the group regularly scheduled delicious meals prepared by the caregivers. She was also kept very clean and asked often as to how she felt. Mom loved it there. It seems to me that to be in this business of care to the elderly it takes a special patience, a bent toward kindness and a passion for the job. These folks have those qualities in abundance. We would highly recommend anyone considering help for their elderly to talk to Brenda and see if she has a bed available.
