Dentist inexperienced and incompetent.



I went to replace a filling that came out in 101 Dental ( 101 E.Corporate Dr. , Suite 120 , Lewisville , TX 75067 ) . I thought it was a good deal because the x-ray and evaluation was only $ 25.00. Before I make an appointment , I asked how much would be to do one filling , she said it would be between $ 80.00 $ 140.00.



After the X-ray and evaluation , she charged $ 215.00 just to make the filling . I decided to accept the price and make the filling , since I had already paid $ 25.00 for the X-ray and evaluation , and also because her office had good appearance ( everything clean and organized ) .



Dr. Lin Chang was friendly , however , she is inexperienced and incompetent . She doesnt know how to make a simple filling, and the worse: she ended up worsening the situation of my tooth, every time that I floss it bleeds. She left a bigger hole than the hole that was already on my tooth. Now I can put the tip of my tongue inside the hole , she does NOT care about aesthetics at all.



Apparently the secretary was her father , and he was a mercenary . Collected the X-ray and evaluation before I was examined. And when I decided to make the filling , he came in the room to me who was sitting in the chair , and took me $215 dollares before Dr. Lin Chang making the filling.



Result: I lost $245 dollares , not solve my problem , and I'll still have to spend more to redo a simple filling that she was not able to do .



( $ 25.00 ) X- ray and evaluation + ( $ 215.00 ) Filling = Total of $ 245.00.



So if you are thinking of going there to save money, Forget it! you will have to redo it all with another dentist.

I went in to get my tooth pulled. Dr. Lin Chang was nice and caring! She pulled the tooth out. But after she did she bent my crown! And now it's stabbing my gums! I went back in and ask if she will please fix it . She said she's not responsible for the damage! So I guess if your ok with a dentist that does not care if she does a good just or not go see them!

My elder son had been complaint about toothache. I took them to 101 Dental we just found coupon in the mail. Dr. Chang was really helpful. I was worried about my son's ordeal since my younger one was also in the waiting room and may get scared more if he hear something before he go in. Dr. Chang told me there were more than a handful cavities. Those candies he ate..... And if the problem gets complicate he may be referred to a specialist like last year. Oh, those long waiting period and the mercy of pain killer. So when he came out to talk to his brother I was ready to accept he had again a complication can not be treated by a general dentist. He smiled and the aching tooth is gone with all the cavities treated. He did not even cry. I'd think he grow up a bit but I really thank Dr. Chang. She is the best dentist I ever seen.

About 3 months ago, I couldn't chew on my left side because my lower left molar hurts when i chew, also the gum is swelling, so my previous dentist referred me to the periodontist to do extraction and implant, I have Metlife insurance, but they don't cover implants, they are very expensive, so I went online to find Dr.Chang in Metlife network, her office is also close to my home, after the exam, she recommended root canal and crown, I was concerned since the previous doctor said she couldn't save it, but there's no other choice besides implants, so I went ahead started Root canal, after the first visit, I can start to eat on my left side!!! I have the crown done as well, besides her experience and hand skills, she also has the great price and convenient late hours and Saturday schedules!

I'd like to highly recommend this clinic and Dr.Chang!!!
