Fillings
Resin Composite
Dental fillings are used to treat different dental problems like cavities and broken teeth. Teeth are usually filled with a material called composite resin, which is designed to look like natural teeth. Fillings can also be done with gold, porcelain, or silver amalgam.
Crowns
A tooth can lose its normal shape and size for a variety of reasons. A crown covers your tooth to help restore its original shape and size. Crowns can also be used to make teeth stronger and look better.

Gingivectomy and Gingivoplasty
Gingival enlargements are quite common findings in pediatric patients and may be inflammatory, noninflammatory, or a combination of both. A gingivectomy is necessary when the gums have pulled away from the teeth creating deep pockets. The pockets make it hard to clean away plaque and calculus. Gingivectomy is usually done before gum disease has damaged the bone supporting the teeth. The procedure involves removing and reshaping loose, diseased gum tissue to get rid of pockets between the teeth and gums. By removing the pocket walls, gingivectomy provides visibility and accessibility to remove calculus and thoroughly smooth the tooth roots. This creates a favorable environment for gingival healing and restoration of the gingival contour. Although gingivectomy was initially developed to treat periodontal disease, it is now a common Cosmetic Surgery, also. It is used to remove overgrown gum tissue and improve the appearance of the gums.

Dental Implants
Crowns have a variety of uses. In some cases that require a large filling, there isn’t enough tooth remaining to keep the filling in place. A crown can strengthen the tooth and hold the filling. Crowns can also protect teeth that are weak, or help fix ones that are broken. Discolored or misshaped teeth can be covered by a crown, as can dental implants.

Orthodontics
Dr. Lombard was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in life sciences at Pennsylvania State University, he attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he graduated in the top of his class. Dr. Lombard was then selected to attend the prestigious Montefiore Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City for his three-year specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. A strong believer in continuing education to ensure his patients receive the highest quality orthodontic care with the latest in technology, Dr. Lombard has completed several post graduate programs and participates in numerous orthodontic study clubs both locally and nationally.

General Dentistry
Dr. Ann Nardozzi, DMD—known to her patients as Dr. Anna, received her B.S. in Biology from New Mexico State University and completed her DMD at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. After completing her General Dentistry Residency at the Brooklyn Department of Veterans Affairs she worked as an associate, during which time her interest grew in serving pediatric patients, leading her to specialize. Dr. Anna then completed her Pediatric Dental Residency training at St. Barnabas in the Bronx, New York and served as Chief Resident in her final year of training.
