Lake Port Square

The nursing staff, Therapists, and CNA’s treated my loved one extremely well during her rehab stay last month. Thank you Lake Harris @ Lake Port Square.

My family's experience with this facility has been a disappointment. Many, perhaps most, nursing home residents here previously lived at the Lake Port Square facility across the parking lot. That is an independent living facility for folks over 65 who can care for themselves and are still active. It is a nice, well kept, property.



Lake Harris, on the other hand, offers assisted living, skilled nursing, and nursing home services.



Have someone in the family who used both skilled nursing and nursing home I can say the staff seems to care, but that does not translate into a superior form of care.



The coordination of needed medical services between doctors at Leesburg Medical Center and Lake Harris, to be blunt, stinks. The coordination of services between Lake Harris and local physicians and even the hospital for testing was, in our experience, abysmal.



They talk a good game and the campus is quite nice. My impression was that they generally try to run out the clock of 100 days on a person's Medicare Skilled Nursing benefit and then move them in as assisted living or nursing home residents for even more cash. I don't see a standard of care and professionalism that I expected. Information flow to responsible family members is like pulling teeth.

What does it say about a nursing home that doesn't answer their phone? 1.) They don't care to get an additional resident? 2.) They don't have time to answer the phone? 3.) They don't have the resources to answer the phone? ...this Nursing Home will definitely remain on my do not call list. :(
