Douglas Tire And Auto

My second visit here after a great first experience. Not so great on the time as it took three hours. That said, the owner made it right.

I've been taking my cars to Douglas Tire & Auto for 20 years. Very honest and professional staff! I have never left unhappy.

These guys are honest and bend over backwards to make things right. My wife and I have been bringing our 2 vehicles in for years, and they know we are on a tight budget with 6 kids. They sometimes wont even charge us for some of the work they do. Marty is always straight up with us and he helps us to try to save money any way he can. I highly recommend this business.

I own a Subaru and had a tire blow out. I took it to Douglas and although they didn't have the same tire in stock, they had a comparable one. I trusted their "expertise" and a few months later learned that the tread pattern has to be exactly the same on all wheel drive systems to keep them from failing. I'm out an additional $200. When I called Douglas, they argued with me rather than apologizing for their incompetency. You live, you learn. Hope you learn from my mistake.

I had my car serviced the and they crushed the rockers by not using the correct lift points on the car. When I brought it to the managers attention (I believe his name is Marty) he told me that it didn't matter where you lift a car. I pointed out the place where it was supposed to be lifted and he then got in my face screaming at me in front of my young daughter telling me I was wrong and it didn't matter. I was a tech at a local dealership for 28 years and was just trying to get snow tires on my car. I got the run around from the owner about the problem. Never go there as they will not stand behind their work (tires had to be rebalanced as they were done incorrectly).

I can't say how bad the experience was for me and how upset it made my daughter.

The service was great. According to "The Book" it says my car should've taken 2 hours for the parts to be replaced. I was in and out of there in an hour. That's with paying, waiting for the parts and everything. They were really nice and had a lot to talk about while they fixed my car. Plus, they will let you sit out in the garage and you can watch every step that they do to your car. Best shop I have been to yet, and probably will not go anywhere else.
