Pediatric Care
As an experienced ENT doctor, Dr. Chaudhry practices comprehensive ENT and sees both adult and pediatric patients. His particular interests include pediatrics, medical and surgical treatment of sinus disease and endocrine surgery. Endoscopy
Endoscopy with biopsy: A thin flexible camera helps our specialist see the interior of your nose and throat down through the voice box. During the procedure, a sample of tissue can be obtained for evaluation if needed. Topical numbing medication is used to make the procedure more comfortable.

Neurological disorders: Since swallowing involves coordination between nerves and muscles, certain conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS), muscular dystrophy, Parkinsonâ€™s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) can interfere with the swallowing process. Sudden damage to the nervous system, like a stroke or traumatic brain injury can also affect the bodyâ€™s ability to swallow.

Another test may be ordered, which is a special test of eye motion after warm or cold water or air is used to stimulate the inner earâ€” an ENG (electronystagmography) or a VNG (videonystagmography).

Computed Tomography
When your child comes in for his or her appointment, our ENT doctors will examine the ears, nose, and throat. In addition, we will review his or her symptoms and health history. Oftentimes we need to use special instruments to look inside of the nose. At times we may need to order a CT Scan to determine how developed your childâ€™s sinuses are, confirm the diagnosis, and/or determine where any nasal blockage is occurring.
Chemotherapy
For non-melanoma skin cancers: chemotherapy is not needed as a primary therapy. Chemotherapyâ€™s use after surgery is still controversial, too.
Radiation Therapy
There are times when radiation therapy is needed as the sole treatment for skin cancer or treatment after surgery. This depends on the patientâ€™s situation.

Whiplash
Be cautious of your hearing if you experienced whiplash-type injuries or other traumatic injuries (either with or without skull fracture). Tinnitus may occur in these situations due to lesions near the hearing portion of the brain (called the auditory cortex). Meningiomas (benign tumors) which originate from the tissue that protects the brain may cause tinnitus.
Ear Surgery
Otitis media may recur because of chronically infected adenoids and tonsils. If needed, your ENT doctor might recommend removal of the infected tonsils and/or adenoids via ear surgery. If this is recommended, the removal can be completed during the procedure when the ventilation tubes are placed.
Otolaryngology
The American Academy of Otolaryngologyâ€” Head and Neck Surgery says that submucosal radiofrequency tongue base ablation can be a viable, safe treatment option for adults suffering from mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Actually, it has been used over the past fifteen or more years to treat OSA.
Mohs Surgery
Mohs surgery is typically performed for basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. This type of surgery provides the best chance to include all margins and to minimize the size of the defect.
Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Tanisha Hutchinson is a native of the Atlanta area. She graduated magna cum laude from Alabama State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry, where she also ran collegiate Track & Field. Dr. Hutchinson earned her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota where she served as a Chief Resident in her final year and started an ongoing simulation boot camp to train incoming residents. There, she nurtured a growing interest in Facial Plastic Surgery, and was selected to complete further fellowship training granted to only 50 applicants per year nationwide. Dr. Hutchinson completed American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship training with the Glasgold Group in Princeton, NJ.

Skin Cancer
Skin cancer is diagnosed when malignant (cancerous) cells are found within the outer layers of the skin. We will discuss the 3 most common types of skin cancers.
Ulcer
Ulcers caused by viruses or medications: Certain viral infections can cause ulcers and inflammation in the esophagus or mouth making the swallowing process painful or difficult. Medications can also irritate the esophagus especially if the pill gets stuck and it causes an ulcer to develop.
Lesions
The melanocytes give the skin its color. Melanoma occurs in the form of pigmented (colored) lesions in the skin. The lesions can have an irregular shape, multiple colors, and an irregular border.
Skin Care
For melanomas, chemotherapy and certain medications that modulate the immune system may be used in more advanced skin care cases.

Allergies
Here at Northeast Atlanta ENT (with locations in Lawrenceville, Johns Creek, and Dacula ) we perform allergy testing on patients for allergies to dust, roach, cat, dog, molds, and a variety of grass, tree and weed pollens.
