Drs. Batz And Weiner

Had to get an emergency root canal because of pain. Batz and Weiner was the only place I could find open late. This was August 1, 2011 and surgery done by a panel dentist. My tooth was an upper molar #14. He was very rough and I was in the chair for 2 hours. He was gouging and digging and he finally stopped and said “I couldn’t get all of your roots”. He told me to see my dentist for a crown. it was painful for several days. In 2 weeks my dentist placed the crown. Told my dentist about my experience and was assured that leaving some roots were ok. I felt in my gut that something was wrong and wrote a letter to the owner and I met with him in November 2011, and he said Dentist was competent, etc.. I was unaware that in the process of trying to remove the last of the roots he also perforated and destroyed the bone. I had no indication that anything was wrong until around late 2016. I noticed my gum above the tooth was inflamed, had pain near my gum above the crown when I brushed near the tooth and I noticed a white blister-lIke sore on the gum and it was red. I had an appointment in a few weeks (January 2018) and I had a new Dentist and I asked for an X-ray of the gum and pointed out the problem tooth and gum. He had a serious look on his face and showed me the roots, and the infection and told me “whoever did your root canal perforated your bone.” I had to have my crown removed, the infection drained, tooth removed and a bone graft placed. In February 2018 the bone graft wasn’t regenerated enough AND my sinus had fallen. Now I must get a sinus lift which requires more bone attached to the jawbone in order to lift the sinus to hold an implant. This is very painful and costs several thousand $$ which is not covered by insurance!! All because of my root canal done by an incompetent, aggressive panel dentist that destroyed my life? It has been too long ago to be able to make a claim, but the problem was only discovered in 2018. Do not go there!

They scheduled my appt for tooth extraction with a oral surgeon. When I got there they said dentist was out until next month that does oral surgery! I drove 25 miles to get there!! SMH

DO NOT GO THERE! There is NO reason to waste your time, and essentially your MONEY there. They charge you for exams they don't even perform, they ask 2 doctors to see you so that you have to pay TWO exams, and they don't even bother answering your emails about the bill: they directly go to the debt collection service to get the money out of your pocket!!! If we could rate them with negative stars, that what they should be rated! I've never seen that anywhere else!!!

ZERO STARS! I wish I had looked at reviews before I made my appointment.

I picked this dentist because they were close to my house and took my insurance. I made an appointment for my two children. After we had filled out the paperwork and waited at least 30 minutes they informed me the dentist that took my HMO was not there today and would I like to reschedule.



At that point I was annoyed that they couldn't have told me before I took my children out of school for the day or at the very least as soon as we arrived. I told them I didn't want to reschedule and that I wanted my paperwork back. They didn't want to give it back and my other solution was for them to shred the paperwork right then. They didn't want to do that either and the front desk person disappeared into the back to talk to someone.



When she came back, I was informed a non HMO dentist would see my children. I made sure to clarify this would be done for the same price (ie only my co-pay). She said it would.



The dentist and the hygienist were very nice and when I came time to pay at the end I paid $40 (what I assume my co-pay was). We haven't had another 6 month visit so I'm not 100% sure that's actually my co-pay. I thought it was all over.



Unfortunately I got a bill today from Batz & Weiner says I owe $668, and the charges on my account are 90 days past due. Not only is the first bill I've seen but a bill for something I was told I would not be charged for.

This is way past due review, as it happened in Oct. 2012. I feel I must warn & alert public from this place as its detrimental to their health & wallet.

I went there for just teeth cleaning and because I was occasionally feeling a little sensation in my lower teeth, when brushing.

The staff was bilingual and courteous in a typical way. Big screen blaring spanish news in the lobby on sunday afternoon.

After basic claening while asked questioned, I was told to see the dentist by the technician. In walks a nice young African lady in a coat, who tells me within 2 minutes that I have a root canal and need surgery.

After questioning her reasoning I get convinced that I may need it, as I never had any procedure done like that before. She walk me to another office, tell me to wait and goes inside for few minutes. ThenI'm told to go inside where the cashier wants me to pay $300 deposit for the next sunday appointment and I end up doing it after being told that procedure is $900.

I come next sunday and am seen by another older white jewish dentist, to perform root canal, but disagrees with their previous dentist assessment and doesn't think I need root canal at all but have sensitivity due to hard brushing.

I'm relieved and thank him and go out to ask for $300 refund but get a run around and told to talk to the owner first in few days - Dr. Batz (the crook).

To make the long story short, they stand by their original assessment and end up charging me another $300 for dentist time.

I wanted to goto courts but never had time. Tried tnsuccessfully o reverse the charges, but they had agreement signed that I'd pay $300 per appointment (even if they were wrong).

Another dentist in Baltimore Javid Hariri, who cleaned my teeth and told me not to brush hard but that I DO NOT HAVE ROOT CANAL.

TO THIS DAY IMY TEETH ARE FINE AND DIDNT NEED ROOT CANAL BUT BATZ, the thief- Has Taken my $600. May he Rot in Hell for Robbing public.

I recommend against using this office because of their sloppy accounting and lack of communication.



We received a combined statement from Batz & Weiner for several treatments. This was the first statement we ever received their office The claims on the statement had not been submitted to the insurance by Batz & Weiner. Instead they put the full amount on our statement, for preventive treatments that our insurance would have fully covered. When I pointed this out to their office, I was told that they would take care of it.



Instead, the next time we heard from Batz & Weiner was from a collection agency! The insurance had refused the claims because Batz & Weiner had sent them in too late (more than a year after the treatment)! Instead of taking responsibility for their negligence of filing late, Batz & Weiner handed over the case to a collection agency, and added a hefty collection fee on top of it.



We were able to convince our insurance company to pay the claims even though they were filed late by Batz & Weiner, and after many letters and a lot of time and energy, we eventually got the collection agency to drop the case. But Batz & Weiner's bad business practices cost us a lot of time, energy, and peace of mind.

Awesome service. Appointment was thorough and quick. The doctor played a video in addition to explain about the dentures that I m getting done. The staff is wonderful and took some time to go over all of the billing questions that I ve had. The person who scheduled my appointment, Alex, was wonderful on the phone taking his time to answer all of my questions and explaining other things to me (since I was worried and it was my first time at the office). Overall, would definitely recommend this office to everyone who lives in the area, and out of the area in any case because of the comfort ability of all insurances being accepted. Thank you guys !!!!!!!!

I was very pleased with my time spent at doctors batz and weiners dental office. I needed some work done on my mouth, because my previous dentist messed up when he put my bridge in. They did something called a sinus lift, where they lift the sinus in order to create room for the implant.. The doctor then removed the bridge and put it in right. You can tell how well trained the doctors are by their work. They don't make stupid mistakes like other dentists, and the quality of their work can not be matched by any other dental office in the area.

II was told i needed to get root canal by my dentist, so i looked around and found Drs Batz and Weiner's office. I made an appointment with the endodontist and came in for my appointment. The whole proccedure was virtually painless. It was also done very fast and pretty cheap. I chose Drs Batz and Weiner's because of how close it was to my house, but will be returning because I recieved amazing service during my time with this office. I have subsequently switched my general dentist, and now go to drs batz and weiners for all my dental needs.

Drs. Batz and Weiner's office has always been my favorite practice in this area! I tried a couple different offices and this one really stood out because of its exceptional hours and great staff. They really work hard and it shows because i always leave with great service. My kids hated seeing any type of a doctor but they dont mind coming here! If you have kids: GO HERE! Theyre awesome with little ones.

I have read reviews about this office and they wereharsh decided to check it out for myself they were very busy thought i would not be seen on an emergency basis but they took me in participated with my insurance and let me pay in three payments pretty cool in these days and times big shout out to the doctors and staff thanks!

This business does not have their act together. I wanted to make an appointment for my daughter's and explained that we did not have insurance. I was up front with them and they told me to get a coupon from the web. I searched the web and there was no coupon. I called back and then was told to get a coupon from the yellow pages. I searched and searched and called again and was told just come in and tell them you did not see a coupon. I get to the office and was told that your children was seen in 2003 on a coupon. I told them I did not remember bringing them to the office because I had a hard time finding it. They told me you can't use another coupon. I told them I honestly don't remember using any. Needless to say, we went back and further and was told I had to pay 184.00 per child. Now, I don't have 300 some odd dollars to get a cleaning and a check up. So then they said, oh, well we will charge you 130.00 per child. I said, "Listen, I do not have that kind of money and I will not be using your service again. I plan to tell other parents also.
