The building is very tired looking and the whole place could use a fresh coat of paint and a good decorator but if you ignore the surroundings the food is really good. I happen to really like the garlic crabs and you have to ask the wait staff to pick you out large ones but all of it is worth it in the long run! Also eat in the bar, the bartender is a wonderful guy!

My wife has been trying to get me to Riggins for years. I never understood what the fuss was all about regarding Maryland crabs but boy was I delighted to find out. We had the best time ever.
First the service was great. Attentive and friendly but not annoying. I ordered and Ice cold beer my wife a glass of pinot grigio. For me I had to try those crabs and she had the South African Lobster tails. She couldn't stop bragging at how sweet and tender they were. The crabs, a giant plate of them, arrived and I was huge! Our waitress thoughtfully taught me all the tricks to extracting the best meat of the crab with the least amount of hassle. It took a few tries with the mallet to get the hang of it but was great. I think I got a few pieces of stray crab in her hair a couple of times but we laughed the whole dinner long, with our messy fingers, faces and table.
This place isn't the Ritz it's a a crab house. Come her hungry and casual and leave happy.

My husband was so excited to take our family to Riggin's for his birthday and boy were we all very disappointed. The experience was bad from the minute we entered the establishment and we even had a reservation and they weren't very busy at the time either. The service was slow, the food quality mediocre, and the management was just plain rude. For about $20.00 a person there are MANY other places in the Palm Beaches to dine that are way more worth it. The gratuity was included in our check (17%) so maybe the server didn't think she needed to do anything to earn it. To make matters worse, I called afterwards to share our experience with the owner and he was just as rude as his staff.
I have never reviewed anything online ever and I just had to share this. This place ruined my husband's birthday celebration which I find a bit ironic since they invited us to share his experience with them in the first place by sending us an email since we had signed up on a previous visit for their email club. Hopefully this review will help you make the right decision about where you dine out. I know while looking up a phone number to make a reservation my husband and I often read other's reviews to help us make our dining decisions. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Today is Monday, we dined there on Friday and I am still aggrevated about the whole thing!!!!!!

- General Info
- At Riggins Market, you can find an amazing assortment of delicious, fresh seafood such as salmon, clams, mussels, dolphin, cod, shrimp, and live Maine lobsters, and live blue crabs that you can pick and choose for your meal. Most seafood markets don't carry live crabs, but Riggins can because they are a restaurant first and foremost. This allows them to stock selections that aren't found in other seafood markets. Also, their prices are very reasonable for a market, because there is no loss. Fresh, refrigerated seafood that isn't sold during the day is prepared to sell in the restaurant that evening as regular menu items. So the Seafood Market customer gets premium seafood, from a first rate restaurant, and at prices that are cheaper than a supermarket! Riggins Seafood Market uses the same distributors as the restaurant, so special selections, like swordfish and grouper can be ordered. Riggins Crabhouse and Seafood Market is located in Lantana, Fla.
