George Foley was given my court recordings of a case in Washington state, a civil misdemeanor but there was much irregularities, and foul play, like the tapes had been cut and pasted, and was evidence of manipulation of many court irregularities.
He had not been my attorney, so this is related to his ethics, which is related to his attorney practice. The set of recordings was entrusted to him and at one point I sent him money to return them to me. I have never been able to get them back. He initially said he had to find them and then alleged they must have been tossed out. I think it is a matter of the legal system protecting it's own. Does any attorney ever expose any corruption in a court room, not likely. He put himself between me and my recordings and I do not believe he does not know where they are and doubt he tossed them out. I just am not supposed to have this "evidence". Even a friendship, what little evidence I mistook for that, is not sufficient to have integrity.
I am still upset he did not return them right away if he did not want to have them. Why did he accept them, acknowledge them and then lose them? No obligation to me but clearly a sign that there is a code between this moraless court prostitutes that they will protect a judge who is out of their jurisdiction. They are important to me. I have had evidence stolen that was pertaining to this same case, in spite of my moving away from the area of conflict. He has the one set and I still want them returned to me. I will pay him for his trouble, postage and will not tell that he had them, but likely he already agreed to cooperate. I am not paranoid, just sick of the good old boys who do nothing for a client or a friend when the system wants to get them. Is this whom you want to represent you? How do you know he is doing his best? I would say you can't trust him.
