DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!! Within 36 hours of buying the car the check engine light went on, when I asked to return the car (because they told me I had 48 hours before the sell closed) they told me the "48 hours was up" even though it was first thing Friday morning and I had purchased the car Wed. evening. However, at the time they welcomed me to bring the car in for a diagnostic (they have a mechanic and full shop on site) and assured me it was solely a sensor and they would replace it at cheap cost. Well they never got back to me and now two months later I go to a real mechanic and he tells me there is oil leaking out of the head gaskets, the routers and both O2 sensors need to be replaced and that the car is on its last limb. My options are replacing the motor all together or having new head gaskets installed, sticking me with a $3000+ bill. He also stated that there is no way in hell they were not aware of this problem because it had been going on for at least a year. He also put the car up on a lift to show me that the bottom of it was completely covered in oil and they would of had to clean that and the motor before selling it due to the severity of the leak. I asked multiple times if they were positive the car was in good condition, I stressed the fact that I just need a reliable commuter and for my little girls to be in a safe vehicle. And multiple times they assured me that the car was in good running condition. That was a bold face lie!! These people are crooked, deceitful and will say anything to make a quick buck! I understand that buying a used car is an "as is" sale but there is no excuse for what has taken place at North County auto sales. They mislead me to believe that the engine and transmission were in good condition, I expect full disclosure when making a big purchase such as a vehicle. I am not an unreasonable person, it is a used car, normal wear and tear is to be expected so the routers and sensors were a non issue but needing a motor is a huge deal and unacceptable. Please save yourself the stress and headache and take your hard earned dollars elsewhere!! Taking advantage of a single mother with two girls and limited income is a low that I fortunately have not been through until now. These people are just mean. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!!!!!!!!
