General Info

Students explore many aspects of music through their instrument. They are taught how to read musical notation, beat and rhythm. Guitar students start out learning the notes on each string and playing simple tunes using the Alfred Method. Chords are introduced as soon as the student shows the needed ability. Piano students learn using the Faber Method with books that include, lessons, theory, technique and artistry. I am a certified Elementary and Preschool Teacher with over 30 years experience. I am a folk guitarist with experience in fingerpicking, strumming and bluegrass with some classical as well. I perform with my guitar and vocals in a local praise band and as a solo artist. I play piano at home for pleasure and know all the basics to get a student started on a piano journey.
