I just spoke to Harry the manager, about some Pex tubing, he was very nice at first, I told him I needed a price on pex-a tubing, 300 ft roll. Harry then told me has been doing this for 25 years and never heard of pex-a, and that it does not exist. I tried to tell Harry, there are 3 grades of pex, a,b,and c. a being the hightest most flexible and repairable, which uses the Engel method of crosslinking. Harry again repeated, it does not exist because he never heard of it. I then told him he should do some research, and he hung up on me. I guess Harry did not like the fact that obviously a local consumer knows much more about radiant heating systems and the products in them then he does. Even after trying to educate the man to improve his knowlege base, he did not want to hear it. It truly is a shame the ignorance of people not wanting to improve thier business and themselves. Not only that, he certainly lost a sale. I will obiously be sharing my story with my fellow businessmen. Thanks Harry for showing me where not to shop. Do your own haomework on products do not take years of service as gospel, here is a perfect example of a "expert" that obviously has not stayed up on the most current information available and handing the wrong information.
