El Paseo

Chips were so hot with spices you can't even taste the Hot Sauce. Food was comparable to a microwave dinner and I've had better microwave dinners. Slow service and the restaurant was not at all crowded. Typical chain.

They do not care about your business. I made a to go order, when I asked for extra salsa, the hostess refused. The manager was extremely rude. Also, in past visits the wait staff is very slow to refill drinks and chips.

Love El Paseo. The owner walks around to make sure everyone is enjoying their food. The food is great, the staff is great.

First off....I eat here a couple times a week. They have all you can eat tacos on Tuesday. I enjoy them very much but would love to give the owner a few tips. The tortillas are great, but the meat is a bit bland. A little spice/flavor would help greatly. (Maybe minced chipotle peppers added when the meat is almost finished cooking. Smoky and spicy) Also, I never really liked the salsa. It was always bland with that straight out of the tomato can taste. I have found quite a few salsa recipes online that are much better than what they serve. On Wednesday they have all you can eat enchiladas. I usually steer clear of the chicken enchiladas as the sour cream sauce leaves something to be desired. Not very creamy, a bit thin.



The wait staff is always friendly and the service is great. The dinning room is always clean and the food is brought to you promptly. I don't want the review to come across as bashing. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly servers. I just think tweaking the menu would be of great benefit to this great restaurant.

I love El Paseo and the people who work there. They work like crazy and if you've never worked in a mexican restaraunt I don't suggest putting in an input on the service. I don't believe you know how hard it is to keep up with the many demands of even just a few tables and still do what is required of them. They will always make sure your food is correct and FYI....IT IS NOT ALWAYS THE SERVERS FAULT. If your server is apologetic, he means well and will fix the problem right away. The kitchen makes mistakes too as well as the person traying up your food before it goes out the door and onto your table that is probably crowded with napkins and drinks, that you expect him/her to move so that they can lay the steaming hot plate in front of you for you to most likely criticise for whatever reason. I have always had will always have a great experience at this restaraunt. They are good people just trying to make just like you in this economy. Don't cut thier tip in half either just because you "cant afford it". You know around how much the food was in the rest. you chose to go to. Do not go out to eat at a rest. and punish your server because you cant afford to tip decent. Its 20% now!! NOT 10 OR 15%!!!! I have served a table who's bill at the end of the night was around $90.00 and was left with a tip of $5. They weren't a very high maintence table but when i'm taking several orders and making sure your glasses stay filled I expect to be tipped accordingly. Never waited tables and don't know what thats like? Feel fortunate that you never had to explain not being able to pay your bills because your customers that you took care of don't know how to tip. We have lives, go to school and even have kids were trying to support. You try and buy diapers with a $2 tip that should have been $5. Luckily i'm done with waiting on tables full of people who expect you to kiss thier feet and treat you like your less than human. One word people...R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

THE FOOD AND SERVICE ARE BOTH GREAT.

My wife, son, and I visited your restaurant in Keller Texas this past Sunday, 09 March 2008. My wife and son give your Mexican food cuisine high marks. However, since I do not care for Mexican food I selected chicken fried steak from your American menu. This had to be the worst "chicken fried steak" I have ever had. I expected a piece of beef dipped in batter and deep fried, just as I would receive in any other restaurant in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Instead, what I received was a piece of "processed" meat with no batter, typical of what you would find in the frozen food section of any supermarket. In addition, due to the toughness of the meat, I can only assume it was cooked/heated in a microwave.



I know, if one is going to eat American food, why go to a Mexican restaurant. However, any food you serve, American or Mexican, should be of excellent quality or it shouldn't be on your menu.

Not very spicey. Why are there no female wait staff?

My wife and I recently moved to the DFW area and were looking for a good Mexican restaurant in the area. On recommendations of friends we tried El Paseo. The place was busy (which is a good sign of it's quality) but the wait was not long (

I was extremely disappionted with the service, or lack there of I guess I should say. I live in Keller and have eaten at this resaurant a couple of times so after attending a funeral I reccommended to the family that we go eat at El Paseo. Big mistake, not only did we not get service, when I borught it to the attention of the owner he proceeded to try to explain to me that it was OUR fault! I was blown away! I don't recommend this place at all, especially if you have a large group, the service is terrible and if you attempt to get better service you will be wasting your breath! HORRIBLE!!!!!

place was very small food was not authentic and took 36 min to get my food and it was all wrong and rice was terrible

The best chicken enchilada's. Good Service.

Great food at a great price. Margaritas are pretty darn tastey too!!
