Welcome to Pilot Knob Marina Originally founded in the 1920s, the Pilot Knob Marina is nestled in the heart of the Adirondacks. Located on the east side of beautiful Lake George in upstate New York, it is one of the oldest marinas on the lake. In addition to top quality service, the marina offers a gas dock (with the best dock boys on the lake) as well as a mini grocery store stocked with the necessities for a weekend outing. During the boating season the marina is open 7 days a week. The Pilot Knob Marina is co-owned by long time friends Nick Barber and Mike Smith who purchased it in 1986. Being avid boaters and outdoor enthusiasts, their goal was to provide their customers with the best boating experience available. Our alliance with Chaparral Boat Company has helped us make that goal a reality, and is evident by our number of repeat buyers and customer referrals! Our current customer satisfaction index rating (CSI) is boardering on 100%, so we must be doing something right! In 1995 we opened a second location southeast of Lake George village on Route 149. This has become our sales outlet and is open 7 days a week year round, for your convenience. This location allowed us the opportunity to offer an expanded range of products with the addition of the Arctic Cat franchise. Here you will find our new and used boat inventory, a sampling of our snowmobiles and ATVs, boating accessories, and a large assortment of snowmobile and ATV parts and accessories. 2006 brought about our 20th anniversary, a milestone that we are extremely proud of! We remain acutely aware of the fact that we couldn't have made it this far without you! Our continuing efforts in offering you the best sales and service experience has just been rewarded by respondents to a 2008 POST STAR "Best of the Region" survey. We are proud to have been voted 1st Place in the following catagories "BEST MARINA", "BEST BOAT RETAILER", "BEST SNOWMOBILE RETAILER"! We also took the 3rd Place finish for "BEST ATV RETAILER".
