Moon Light Japanese Steak House & Sushi

Six of us dined here for my daughters birthday. The food was perfectly prepared (not overcooked and rubbery like other hibachis), sizable portions (we all left with to-go boxes), a courteous server and a very entertaining chef. My daughter laughed and smiled so much she said her face hurt. The free cheesecake and commemorative photo for birthdays is a nice touch. We did not try the sushi but the calamari appetizer was piled high for $5.95. We saved 15% because of the Early Bird Special (before 5?)...nice treat on a busy school night. Even before the discount it was a very good value compared to other local hibachis. The decor is fresh and inviting. We will definitely return.

This is my first review ever. Please bare with me. My girlfriend and I have come to this restaurant several times now. The food is good and service was ok. I suppose it helps the place was mostly empty every time we have gone in. However after a $50 dinner the server thought she was being cute and straight face told me she had ran my debt card several times and it was declined. Even after I told her, that this was highly unlikely. Yet she persisted in her efforts!!! Finally after she could see I felt humiliated she told me she was kidding. I kept my cool and exited the restaurant with my girlfriend as to not make a scene in from of my lady. After I parted ways with my girlfriend, I promptly called the manager and chewed her out. She said she was "So sorry" and "would talk with her" I remain unimpressed. I will never step foot in this place again. I see now why this place is so empty and they had a help wanted sigh on the window. They need all the help they can get. There are just somethings in this world you just don't do. Lord help you If you walk in this place. Seriously!
