        It is estimated that about 20 percent of people 65 and older have some form of aortic and vascular disease, but only about 25 percent of them are receiving treatment. As if that news isn't concerning enough, the disease is also on the rise. Fortunately for those living in the Midwest, the Midwest Aortic & Vascular Institute (MAVI) physicians are committed to increasing education to prevent the disease, identifying and treating a higher percentage of those with the disease and leading advances in research to most effectively treat the disease.
        Business History
        Midwest Aortic & Vascular Institute, P.C. was formed January 1, 2016, when two well established practices - Kansas City Vascular and Vascular Surgery Associates - merged to form the Kansas City metro area’s largest vascular surgery group, continuing their legacy as leaders in vascular innovation. Together our seven surgeons, four advance practice nurses, ultrasound technicians and a dedicated staff are focused on providing the highest level of care for patients suffering from aortic and vascular conditions.
