Kona Grill - Kansas City

Items are priced high but quality of food and service is not superb. Waitress was way to eager to take my boyfriend's order and leave the table, not giving a darn about the others sitting at the table. For it to be located on the plaza I would have certainly thought the staff, food and up keep of the facility would be top notch.

I had the "Shrimp Lemon Penne" for my appetizer and "calamari" for my starter. The food was excellent! Great flavor and well cooked!

Waited over 15minutes to get a menu! Overall very pretentious staff! Don't eat here, staff sucks.

My husband and I love the Kona Grill, on the Plaza for it's friendly, warm atmosphere, terrific service, great decor and wonderful menu/food! We are regulars, and especially fond of the General Manager, Betsy Hanlon. Most importantly, the Pork Tenderloin and Hana salad with macadamia nut chicken are our favorites. It's always a treat to go there!

The atmosphere and sushi at this establishment is always top notch. But, when we ended up with a poor server this weekend, it was quite disappointing. Service makes or breaks a restaurant. I felt we were all looking around for her continually... She came to our table to take initial drink orders, to take sushi orders and then we finally saw her again for the check! We had to rely on another server for more drinks... I've been servers at many nice restaurants and know this is not acceptable service. Too bad, since the food is great!
