Mr. Appliance of Keller

Do not use this company if you are in the Keller/Denton service area. I was charged $105.00 service fee (that is non refundable) to diagnose the problem and was told it was the baking element which after applying the service fee to the ticket would be an additional $320.00. The tech came back to install. When I tried to use the oven the following day the temp. didn't stop at preheat temperature but soared to its limit. The tech was sent back out to find that the panel needed to be replaced and that it would more than$300 for the part plus shipping plus labor which would end up somewhere in the $500 range. I argued that had it been diagnosed correctly in the beginning I would have chosen to not have it worked on but instead to pay for the service call and purchase a new oven. The tech called the office and asked that they either fix it and only charge for the new part or refund all but the service fee on the original repair and told me that his request had been accepted. I chose the refund and was told that refunds took place on Fridays. Upon calling the following Friday I was told by the office manager that only $213.00 would be refunded and that the remaining $212.00 would now not be refunded (105 svc fee 107 part & shipping) When I told her I was standing with the tech when he was told by phone that all but the service fee would be refunded she said he must have misunderstood When I told her the part with shipping was $70.52 not $107 ( I had called the parts company because the box it was in was left at my house) she told me I was mistaken. When I asked to speak to Jim the owner she told me no. The tech tried to makeup for what he admitted to be his fault, the office manager on the other hand couldn't spell customer service with a google search
