Medwell Urgent Care Centers

DON'T GO HERE!!!! I was sick and wanted some cough syrup. After I paid $75 and waited 25 minutes to see a Doctor - even though I was the ONLY person in the clinic - she informs me that they are a non-narcotic clinic and I will need a steroid shot. WTF???? I DID NOT COME HERE TO GET A SHOT....I just want some good old-fashioned cough syrup. Well....I guess I should have read the previous reviews of this place. These reviews really don't make a difference in their lame service....but at least it made me feel a little better! Just my 2 cents worth.

This place has almost killed my sister and almost made a child in our family lose his finger!!!



My sister went in and told them she had a fever for 5 days, she was noticeaby red, had a rash all over her and looked like death. They sent her home with no answers, no tests, no medication-nothing! She went to the ER the next day after passing out and she was found to have an allergic reaction to a medicine she was taking and pneumonia!



The boy in the family is 7 years old, he got his finger caught in a car door and ripped his nail off. Surprise Surprise! They didn't do a thing for him. He kept complaining about his finger (of course) so he was taken to a real doctor and gave him the news that if her were to wait any longer they would have had to cut his finger off.



Medwell is nowhere to go for Urgent Care. They are cheaper, but I'd pass them up in a second! I feel they have reject doctors that got kicked out of medical school because they couldn't figure out how to blow their own noses.

She has been there two times, and today the doctor basically made her cry by rasing his voice at her. She had blacked out a few times throughout the day, and i just told him it started after she gave blood platlets. He raised his voice said that made NO SENSE HE COULDNT DO ANYTHING FOR HER AND TO GO TO AN EMERGENDCY ROOM. He also said we know nothing about medicine :) That was pleasant as we never claimed to, however, we were both in pre-med for quite some time until it became too expensive, sooooo we know our fair share of biology (either way is it necessary to verbally attack your patients? or professional? ) It takes a real man to raise his voice to females. She previously had asked for blood work to be done there, she wanted it sent to UPMC for her annual check up to get it out of the way. They have a lab told her they were going to, and then tested her for pregnancy? Unfourtunalty, my sisters pituitary tumor (which is why she goes to upmc annuallly)stopped her cycle, and though it wasnt an immediate threat she just needed hormonal testing... she told the lady over and over she was not pregnant, and the pregnancy test was the only test performed. I would like to discourage anyone with self respect to go here.
