Tortuga Jacks

I drove over 350 miles today, pulled in here to get something to eat. Stood in front lobby watched over three employees walk by, not a one ask if they could see me. The service here is just awful.

Sorry. Only visit for the outside bar area for the view! I ordered the ceviche and was lucky to get three nuggets of fish. The serving was the size of a small clam shell. My partners food came out cold.

Menu recommended informing wait staff of allergies. I asked manager which items are safe to eat on a gluten free diet. I was informed the chips were corn and that at least 95% of their menu is safe to eat. He later came back and told me the chips were fried in oil with flour items, however the heat should destroy the gluten. Anyone with Celiac disease or even working in a restaurant should know this is not true. I then ordered a salad with shrimp' which he again assured me would be safe. When the shrimp came it had blackened seasoning on it. I asked the waiter if the seasoning was gluten free. He informed me it is only shrimp, it of course it does not have gluten on it. We paid our almost $40 dollar bill and left. I have been sick for 4 days with a flair up of Celiac Disease. I contacted the management and have not received a response.
