Cold and Heartless Mega Church. How would I know? I worked for them. They laid me off as well as 13 other full time employees and 20-30 part time the week before Thanksgiving! They did the layoff all in one day with no notice at all and gave very little severance. They laid off some people who had worked there 20+ years! Just cut them cold. I understand budget cuts but they screwed us right before Christmas! They acted like a cruel corporation. Only one pastor has reached out to me after I was laid off and he wasn't even involved in the decision making. I loved the people I worked with directly but I found out the hard way that the leadership is garbage! I would have appreciated being let go months earlier with a week's notice to say my goodbyes. But they don't care about people on a personal level and it shows through their actions.

Work Downtown, Riverside or San Marco? If you need Christian books, music or cards, this is a great spot. It's right on the corner of Ashley and Laura Streets. They also have beautiful gift items (like Bibles, alabaster, and framed art) and things for children if you need a special gift. The staff there is courteous AND knowledgeable. Because of the convenient location, I go there pretty often to pick up greeting cards at the last minute. Usually parking on the street is not a problem. I highly recommend it!
