Her clinical experience included school district therapy, outpatient orthopedics, acute inpatient, and long term care. Kim culminated her doctorate program with a service trip in Huancayo, Peru, where she collaborated with local physical therapists to provide services to children with disabilities.

She then moved to Seattle, Washington as a contract worker, where she gained experience in a variety of settings including skilled nursing, transitional care, and acute care.
