Iowa Park Health Care Center

What can I tell you about Iowa Park Healthcare Center? I used to work there a couple years ago as an administrative assistant. My desk was in the living room, so I always seen what was going on. This is definately a wonderful place for your loved ones to feel at home. The staff really go the extra mile to make the residents happy. Bingo, movies, exercise, monthly resident birthday parties, intellectual stimulating games, and many other activities were always on the calendar each week. The therapy staff always had residents up walking or exercising to ensure they stay moving. This was the most rewarding job that I ever had. It made me happy to just find small ways to make the residents smile. One of my favorite moments was at Christmas. We had a big dinner with the residents, family members, and staff. One of the residents family members started playing the piano. It brought a tear to my eye. That was when I realized this place was not just work, but an extended family.
