Now that’s an Italian Hamburger



What I like to do sometimes is try a menu item outside the norm for the type of restaurant. It doesn’t always work out but this time I had great results. I ordered a cheese burger with their “Homemade chips.” Not all restaurants can pull this off either. I’ve had some homemade chips are too hard, or don’t taste right. However, The Chefs at Olivera’s got their potato treats just right. They didn’t taste salty at all either but did have a unique taste. I’m thinking some kind of parmesan sprinkling? I also ordered their tomato basil soup which is very much like my favorite tomato bisque. It came with a reasonable portion of garlic bread and a very generous amount of saltines. The delivery didn’t take as long as I expected either and he more than earned his tip.

Tonight we went as family for dinner. We had wet burritos and stomboli, the food was fantastic! The environment is acceptable for children during the dinner hours. The service is always good. Tonight our server was Alicia M. She was very pleasant and efficient! We had my husband's 40th birthday party there four years ago. We had pizza's and beer. The owner was very accommodating, he helped me plan the types and how many pizzas we would need for that many people. He even offered to help set up the friends that were comming in from out of town at the AmeriHost Inn in Ionia. We love dining in at Olivera's. The food reminds me of Vitale's. My brother used to work at the one that was in Belding, when he was in high school. When they closed, we had to travel to Grand Rapids to get the fantastic baked subs and pizzas; but now we can get even better tasting food right here in our hometown of Ionia, MI.

Olivera's is the best restaraunt in Ionia County...hands down! The food is always fresh, homemade, and cooked to order! They also have a full bar with a large variety of beer, wine, and mixed drinks with daily specials. The staff is effecient, attentive, friendly, loyal, and truly care about each and every guest that they serve. The owners are wonderful people who care very much about their employees and their guests. They are also very involved with the community, "giving back" as much as they can whenever they can. I highly recommend Olivera's to anyone and everyone!

I say Olivera's is the BEST place in Ionia. They are clean, the staff is friendly, fast, and accurate, and their food is AMAZING. The portion sizes are well worth the money!

To the "concerned" person that made the bougus review, Im assuming you have worked there and recently got fired? You, sir, (yeah, you're not hard to figure out), need to review the labor laws, yourself. That is not illegal, first of all, and second of all, do you have proof of your other FALSE accusations? While you are reviewing the labor laws, you may also want to review Slander laws. Also, while you are reviewing, unless you are talking of a sand-"wich", you spelled that wrong.

Wonderful food, great pizzas, great staff and very well managed. Very supportive of community. Clean and always upgrading the facility. We recommend Olivera's to friends and strangers alike with no worry that they will be disappointed.

I have given the Restaurant a 5 star..because I go there every Thursday morning and recieve the best food and service...The staff bends over backwards to give prompt and great service...We have our special waitress, her name is Jamie, she has been our waitress every Thursday that we have been coming..The food is awesome always tasted great and smells good...I would recommend you to everyone, as a matter of fact I have..I love your new menu's, I didn't believe that you could improve, but the food selections you added are great!! I will keep coming and recommending you to anyone that will listen!! Thanks again for being my favorite place to eat!

The guy previous most of had a bad day when i was in town i loved this place very nice waitresses and what can you say it is a bar in the down stairs people do get loud don't think you should put peoples names in comments i feel for the young lady

I stayed in ionia for a week used to large town dinning and oliveras takes the cake it was the best food i have had in a long time truly authentic food best prices will recommend to any who ask very professional establishment

This place can be a bit Loud and Crowded. But it is a great place to watch the game and have a few beers.

The food was amazing but not worth it for the service. Me and my girlfriend were just trying to sit and talk while enjoying our pizza our waitress - Ashley - was very fake and obnixous. WE had to ask a few times for everything. There was a table of drunk men being rediculously loud and the management wouldn't do anything about it because they were 'regulars'. I might consider ordering for take-out but I will never sit in there again!
