Alice Springs Campground

Park is newer but under the current owners and manager I wouldn't recommend it. Things are not consistent. Office, pool and other amenities close early or don't open. Live music is the same every weekend and unless you like hearing geriatric people singing old county, it never changes. Tractor rides, operated by seasonal helpers don't run if they feel there are not enough kids in the park or if they don't want to do it. There is a big problem with retaining grounds keepers. Grass goes un mowed at times with gravel sites having weeds growing through and not well kept. Reviews they don't like posted on there site are immediatly removed so don't complain and post it on there site. It WILL be removed. We spent a season there and left in discussed. Other things that we found annoying are that the bounce houses are mostly full of rain water and dirty/moldy. The tent camping is a joke. There is no water at these sites and the bathrooms are a long way off at the lodge building. New Wi-Fi was installed at the beginning of 2016 but worked worse than the old Wi-Fi that mostly didn't work. They raised there rates to $3,150 for a seasonal last year, $41 per night. There are far better places for far less money. There is a reason other parks have long waiting lists and this park has huge availability. People don't stay more than 1 season.

We visited the campground for their Christmas weekend and had a great time! The campground is very clean and all the personnel were friendly and helpful. The kids loved the pool! We'll be back for sure!

Nothing special. Did not find the staff to be friendly. The one time I had opportunity to meet the security person she was quite drunk. Overall, the campground is clean, but as I started, dont expect anything special.

I absolutely love this campground and will be returning. Very family friendly and the staff are very nice and helpful. Lots to do for kids young and old. Beautiful pool, kiddie pool and hot tub.

We even met some of their seasonal campers who also help to make the park a safe and wonderful place to stay...such pride they have for this park is truly wonderful. We highly recommend camping at Alice Springs.

I would give this campground a rating of zero stars if I could. I did not get to camp here because my whole family was not allowed into this campground. The owners are stupid fools. To discriminate against dogs by breed is uneducated and illogical.

We have camped here a total of 3 times and with no doubt will be returning. It is such a great family campground with lots of activities, live music every weekend, fun bounce houses for our kids, a very nice pool, and tons of other things for our kids to do. They had something to do at all times. Very clean campground also! loved it and will be back soon!

Our experience was so negative I am writing this as a warning for others. The woman at the front desk is a tyrant regarding her little empire in Ionia. She changed the posted rules on us to extract more money from us and made us take down extra tents stating it was their rule to have only one, which is stated nowhere in their written rules. Some sort of primitive unwritten code I guess. This reminds me of Jim Crow law in the south, the owners reserve the right to do whatever they want if they don't like you. I saw the one other review written on this and I agree. The facilities are nice if you like rv parks, not great for camping( a big open field near a pond). Try Bertha Brock nearby, you might actually save yourself getting accosted by a very controlling woman.

The lady at the front desk was soooo rude. I think it was even the owner total B-face. Her attitude was so bad that I realized in less than 2 mins that I am not giving any of my money to this place. Look I hate to give bad feed back when I see nice reviews....but when it's the 1st time I step in the door and that's the service "No Thanks" I hope she was just having a bad day. If her attitude is like that everyday this place will be bankrupt in less than 10 yrs and they will turn this place into a cornfield. It is a Clean camp ground from what I saw. PS....Other workers are friendly and Camp Ground Is A Open Field No Trees. Hope your not coming for the view...lol
