Shred-It

Great customer service. Truck showed up when they said they would. They even called me prior to arrival to tell me that they were on the way. Shred One charged me exactly what I was quoted. The Driver Pat expressed great customer service so friendly and personable, I highly recommend their services.

Great customer service. Truck showed up when they said they would. They even called me prior to arrival to tell me that they were on the way. Shred One charged me exactly what I was quoted. I highly recommend their services. I will us again.

My first transaction with them was good, but my second one was not. This business allows you to drop off documents, to be shredded, at their company location. This saves them time and money in picking them up, you would think. The first time I did this, they were pleasant and charged me $10 for three small bags. The second time, they told me to pull around back, which I did. They then told me it would now be $80 for eight bags, hmmm? Seemed like quite a jump in pricing, so I asked them why. Their response was that "this was the price" and "that I should make up my mind immediately". Very rude when they told me this. I said that it did not make sense to lug these bags back to my office, so I reluctantly started to unload them. They then changed the price twice as I was unloading them. First to $40 dollars, which sounded more reasonable, and then up to $60. It was starting to get a little comical, but I said, OK. I gave them $70 and he comes back with my receipt, but with no change. I said, where is my change. He said that he changed it to $70 and that there was now no change. I was a repeat customer. I had also referred other people to them. Very unprofessional behavior. I do feel lucky that I experienced this behavior before increasing my business with them. So, there is always a silver lining. I did speak with, who they said was the owner. He said that he was surprised by the behavior, but did not offer to give me my change back. In essence, when you quote a price and then keep the change, are you then stealing. It is a question that should be asked. I will not do business with them again. Again, I do feel lucky.
