Firestone Complete Auto Care

I had the worst experience ever at this store. The car was brought to the store to have a tire changed that was flat (I changed it and put it in the trunck). The spare was on the car. They changed out one of my good tires and told me that my tire was bad (the good one, tire pressure was fine). They showed me the good tire that they were claiming was bad and pointed to 3 "nails" (they looked more like stables to me) that were in the tire, whatever it was in the tire that they were calling nails DID NOT pertrude through the tire, they were only on the surface (which expalins why the tire had no issues holding pressure). They didn't notice the bad tire in my trunk, they didn't open it, they insisted that the confusion was my fault because I didn't tell them the bad tire was in the trunk. They charged me for the new tire that they replaced my other good tire with. The tire changout (wrong tire) took 2.5 hours, during which the store personnel tried to sell 2 new tires because according to them, the spare (which they thought was a regular tire) was bad also (it had 30 miles on it and there was nothing wrong with it either). At this point it became evident that they were trying to sell everything under the sun with disregard for what is really necessary. When the discovery was made and brought to the Mangers attention (Richie Spottswood) that they had replaced a good tire, Richie insisted that the tire they replaced was bad and that the confusion over what consititutes a bad tire was entirely my fault. There were no apologies on their part, only agressive denial that they did anything wrong. When I asked for my good tire back, Richie said it was part of an investigation and that they were keeping it. I pointed out that it was my property and I had a reciept for it and was still told I could not have my tire back. After much debate on the subject, my tire was finally returned to me. I took it to another tire shop who told me the tire was fine and still had good tread on it and put it back on the car (for a charge). There was absolutely no apology or recognitioiin on the part of the store (Richie or Harry Jenkins, who was also involved) for any of this, only insistance that everything that resulted was my fault.I have bought 4 tires from them on 3 occasions over the couse of 22 months. Everytime the tread was fine, they always claimed that it was road hazard and charged me the entire amount for a new tire. Finally, on the 4th tire that only had 6k miles on it, I began to do a little investigation (since all the tires in question had been bought from them originally) to determine why these tires were needing to be changed out so often. I was a good customer who trusted these guys, will not happen again. I live very close to this store and we have a neighborhood website that has unfavorable posts regarding this place as well, wish I had read it before....
