Quest Diagnostics

I brought a neighbor there last week. I asked the attendant if she knew when he might be finished because I had to run out. She told me she was busy and couldn't answer that question. About 15 minutes later, on my way back, I called and asked if my neighbor was finished yet. A new voice told me about the Hippa Law and wouldn't give me any information. I explained that I was listed on his file and that she could verify it with the patient. I just wanted to know if he was ready. She was very adamant about not telling me. About five minutes later I arrived back at the office. He was not there. I needed to know if he was getting his blood drawn or if he walked out of the building. Again, I was ignored. I explained to the woman that I had to locate him and she was extremely rude. Is this the way to deal with people? I am a teacher and if I ever spoke to parents like that I would be fired. How about some training on how to be polite, sensitive, and understanding?
