Wow. Here I go. My wife and I walked in and was immediately impressed with the ambiance. The wait on this particular Friday night was about 10-15 min.(not bad) our server was exceptional and really helped set the mood. My wife had an orange cocktail and I a coke. Our salads were great I recommend the brill and blue it was totally worth it! And this is where it all FALLS apart. I felt the menu was kinda overwhelming for a first timer. I thought I was playing it safe and ordered the mamas trio. Wife has eggplant parmasean. We get the food and it looked wonderful...but that was misleading. The lasagna meat tasted really heavy/greasy and kinda like barbque? Chicken was dry and bland:( and the canalloni seemed to b stuffed with a strange green baby food. Yuch! I could not finish a third of each dish. The nice server recommended the new house chianti which maybe cause I'm a beer guy and I didn't know what to expect... I couldn't bare but a couple sips. When done I told the server what I've explained here. I have never ate at such a nice place with this bad of a meal experience. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager but I refused not wanting to seem low brow and looking for a handout. She offered to take the chianti charge off. And gave us another brill and blue to go. Total bill was 56$ with like a 7$ tip. Prob won't go back and thats sad cause maybe it was just that dish? But I did notice most people there didn't eat all their food... That I saw. Maybe my backwoods palette isn't suited for this high brow fare:(
