Primary Care
If you would like to undergo a LDCT lung screening, the first step is an appointment with your primary care provider. This appointment will be a time to discuss your age, smoking history and other factors in order for your physician to determine if you are eligible for screening. If you are eligible, your primary care provider will schedule your low-dose lung CT scan.

Behavioral Health
National Park Medical Center’s Senior Care Unit is a specialized unit for the care of geriatric patients requiring behavioral health care within the hospital. The Senior Care Center is specifically designed for patients ages 65 and over who have an emotional illness or behavioral symptoms. These can include symptoms of dementia, Alzheimer’s, confusion, depression, psychosis, bipolar, schizophrenia and more.

Ultrasound
An ultrasound is a safe and painless test using sound waves, not radiation, to get an image of different areas inside your body. We provide adult and pediatric studies, diagnostic breast studies and more.
MRI
A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan is an imaging test that uses powerful magnets and radio waves to create pictures of the body. It does not use radiation (X-rays). Our top-of-the-line 1.5 tesla MRI scanner provides exceptional image quality for all MRI studies.

If you have dense breast tissue, you may benefit from having a 3D mammogram. 3D mammography creates more detailed images of your breast. We also have a compassionate breast navigator to help you navigate your care through the medical system.
Computed Tomography
Your medical provider will call you soon after your screening to explain your results and discuss any additional necessary medical care. If the CT scan were to detect any potentially cancerous nodules, another screening may be needed after a few months to monitor your lungs’ conditions. Regardless of your results, annual screenings are recommended, as yearly low-dose CT scans have been shown to decrease mortality in patients who had increased risk due to smoking.

Physical Therapy
The Bone & Joint Institute hosts a Bone & Joint Camp each Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 am. Once you have elected surgery, your physician will schedule your date to attend, typically the week prior to your surgery. Every patient and their primary post-surgery caregiver should attend this informative and interactive classroom-style group orientation taught by an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including staff from anesthesia, surgery, bone and joint nursing, infection prevention, dietary, pharmacy and physical therapy.
