A Touch of Color

I have shopped there many years but I have never been in the incident that the other review has been in. It's sad that they had to move, I think it is a cute building and the people who own it are very nice indeed, I feel as if they truly want to help.

On Oct 23, 2010 I selected several fall plants and was helped by a very nice man and a young woman who assisted him. There were 2 other people with me, another of which also selected plants to purchase. The selection and payment process took some time, and when we were paid up and ready to load the purchases into the truck, a mistake was made by the young assistant - she loaded part of the purchase into the wrong vehicle and the vehicle left the lot. In the meantime, a cascading comedy of errors by the management resulted in one buyer cancelling per purchases due to the owner's treatment of the young woman who made the error of loading purchases into the wrong vehicle. In the meantime, the driver returned to the shop with the mis-loaded goods. I was overchanged by approx. $46 (which was then returned to me). During this lengthy process, the owner (a slurred speaking nasty old woman) interrupted my check-out by taking another customer while in the middle of my transaction! I waited patiently and when the other transaction and my transaction were FINALLY completed, I advised the nasty old woman that in the future, if she would like to continue good relations with her customers and provide good customer service, she should not take another customer in the middle of a messed-up transaction (at no fault of mine, only hers) and she should first finish the transaction in process before helping another customer. Her response to this was, "I don't give a shi! what you think, get out of my store". The bottom line is, the service by the store owner was horrific and I will never make another purchase there again. Ironically, the man and young woman who waited on me were wonderful and I feel truly sorry that they are required to work under the abuse of this woman/owner.
