- What You Can Expect with Aspen Painting… As a premiere painter in the Montgomery, Bucks, Philadelphia and Delaware counties in Pennsylvania, Aspen Painting services are above and beyond most painters. You will feel comfortable with our team of painters in your home and relaxed knowing the job will be done right with the most care. Interior: Small holes and cracks will be filled and nail pops will be re-secured and spackled. Larger holes may need to be repaired be securing a small piece of drywall to the damaged area. Large cracks may need to be re-taped. All surfaces to be painted will be scuff sanded. This promotes proper adhesion of the paint. Open gaps between wood trim and wall or ceiling will be filled with new caulk. Water stains, crayon marks and ink will be sealed with a stain sealer/primer to prevent stains from bleeding through the topcoat. Dirt, grease and mildew are sometimes present and will be thoroughly washed prior to painting. Hardware will be masked off or removed as necessary prior to painting. All work areas will be cleaned up and vacuumed upon completion of the job. Exterior: Loose, peeling paint will be removed from the substrate. These areas will then be feathered in by sanding and primed. All surfaces to be painted will be scuff sanded to promote proper adhesion of the new paint. Any loose caulk will be removed and re-caulked. Any open gaps should be caulked. All surfaces to be painted will be thoroughly washed particularly in the case of mildew. Mildew has become an increasingly large problem and must be removed prior to the application of the new coating. In extreme cases of peeling paint, especially in older homes where multiple layers of paint have built up over years of re-painting, the best solution is to remove the existing layers of paint before applying the new coating. Loose window glaze will be removed and replaced with new glazing Warranty: Aspen Painting stands behind its quality and workmanship. We pride ourselves on a superior paint job and customer satisfaction. We provide a 3 year Warranty to all our completed jobs. Aspen Painting & Wallcovering, Inc. warrants all labor and material for a period of three (3) years. If paint failure appears, we will furnish labor and materials to correct the condition without cost. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied. Our responsibility is limited to correcting the condition as indicated above. This warranty excludes, and in no event will Aspen Painting & Wallcovering, Inc. be responsible for consequential or incidental damages caused by accident or abuse, normal wear and tear, temperature changes, settlement or moisture; i.e. nail pops or cracks caused by expansion and/or contraction. Cracks will be properly prepared as indicated at time of job, but will not be covered under this warranty. Exclusions also include: Painted or stained horizontal walking surfaces (i.e. decks, floors and steps), dirt and mildew accumulation. Paint failure due to rotted wood, structural defects, moisture intrusion, failure of previous coatings, and insect infestation.
