Well to me honestly this place as awesome the food is fabulous and very delcicious only problem though the fried green tomatoes need more salt and pepper. And also they need a seafood gumbo

Drove over two hours today to have lunch here. Wife and I were excited base on reviews etc. Decor was lackluster and tasteless. Server was efficient yet not personable. Had pork nachos and buffalo smoked wings as app. The meat on the nachos were cold. Wings were room temp and not tender as though they were not reheated to proper temp. The flavor of the nachos however was very tasty. The buffalo sauce on the wings tasted like liquid smoke and franks hot sauce. Ordered the smoked chicken quesadillas for my daughter, and requested no red onions or BBQ sauce which is what it was advertised with. It came to the table with pico on the quesadilla (which contained red onion) and on the side. The description on the menu said nothing about tomatoes on it. My other daughter had the grilled cheese and mashed with gravy. No issues there. My wife had the firecracker shrimp, Mac and cheese, and fried green tomatoes. Good texture on shrimp and tomatoes. A little seasoning wouldn't hurt the tomatoes though. I had the special. Hamburger steak with onion gravy, cup of gumbo, and fries. I requested my hamburger steak medium rare. Server informed me that they were already cooked so that wasn't an option. Flavor wise, the hamburger steak and the fries were delicious. Gravy was hot and good. Fries were hot and good. Hamburger steak had a cold center. Not a fresh cooked medium rare cool pink center, but a previously cooked, refrigerated, reheated (improperly), kind've cold. Gumbo was unimpressive. Stereotypical country cooking restaurant gumbo. Fried food seemed to be cooked to order so maybe that is the way to go here. All in all, not a pleasing experience. Has potential though.
