        Island Veterinary Care is a scam business. They insisted that our family dog needed patella surgery when she didn't and said that if she doesn't get it now, then she'll never be able to walk later on. Saying that scared my mom and sister, who took her in and paid $2500+ for the surgery.Now 5 weeks later, my dog's leg is completely useless and she's in such great pain that it kills me. She is supposed to be completed healed in 6-8 weeks but it looks like her leg is damaged forever. I called them yesterday and they tried to blame it on me instead of taking the blame, and were very rude about it. The receptionist said that she'll have the doctor call me back and explain why my dog's leg is in such bad shape but I never received a call.This company is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE and I strongly recommend against it. They charge you for EVERYTHING and will say your dog needs this and that when it's not true, and then they'll charge you an arm and a leg for it. AVOID ISLAND VET AT ALL COSTS!
