Discount Tire

I was replacing my rear tires to match the fronts, my front tires had 7650 since I purchased them and it was time for a rotation. Your associate Tim said my new tires had to be mounted on the rear because I had less thread than the new tires. 1/32nd less than new so if I had bought all 4 tires you wouldn't rotate them because the front tires wear faster than the rear? Tim excused himself and went to the office to speak with the manager. Tim didn't answer my question, then stated come back in 1000 miles and we will rotate them. I asked him is this your companies procedure or NTDRA procedure. He stated it was Discount Tires procedure. I then stated I get a slight shimmy at 75 mph, , can you balance my front tires? I stated I paid for a lifetime balance at the Orland Park Discount Tire. He said no problem. I went next door for a sandwich and returned 45 min. later as they pulled my truck up to the door. I asked Tim how was the balancing on the 2 front tires, that are now on the rear. He stated the balancing was out, we balanced the tires.Then he stated, that it looks like they did rotate your tires you don't have to return in 1000 miles. I was confused?! I then drove to the car wash to wash the blue coating off my white letters and found the tires I requested balanced were never balanced. The old weights were still on the inside and outside of the wheels. I went back the next day after work and asked Tim why were my old weights still on the tires they balanced? He went out and stated I thought they balanced them. I asked Tim, how would he know they were out of balance, if they were never put on the balancer to be balanced? For you or anyone to know a tire is out of balance it has to be put on the balancer, right? Also my valve stem do not match the other 2 stems, they were much longer. He stated, I'm sorry I will get this taken care of. I told him I did not have time to wait, I will return tomorrow. I returned the following day after work and Doug assisted me. I explained the situation. He corrected the valve stems and balanced the tires. Thanked me and I was on my way a 1/2 hour later. I did appreciate Doug making it right, I didn't appreciate the lies and myths I was presented by Tim and the additional visits I had to make. I will not return to this location.
