If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. We went in with our children on Saturday looking for gerbils for our 4 year olds birthday. They didn't have any so we went looking at all the other animals. My son fell in love with a kitten and we checked the price that said $99 and decided we would let him get it. Went and asked the older lady to let us know if it was a girl or boy and she came over and talked with us, no issues. After that we told her we wanted her. She said they couldn't leave until Monday because they had a vet appointment. We tell our son we'll come back and get her Monday and she'll be home when you get off the bus. She takes down our name and number and says she'll let us know when they get back. My husband goes to get her today (Monday) and there is a new sign on the cage that says $299. He asks to speak to the owner and the same older lady refuses. She says the $99 is only for domestic cats, we can't sell it at that price. Husband left and comes back in and she says the owner said they won't change the price. So now I get to tell my son when he gets off the bus that there is no kitten because these people are incompetent, non truthful, and rude as hell. I will never give this place our business. False advertising at its best and flat out liars.

If you decide to go here, make sure you know some background information if you have any questions. The staff laughed at me when I needed help.

I found the staff to be very friendly and informative.They gave me wonderful advice on what food to buy for our puppy, and were very kind to my two curious boys. They also had a great selection!

How are you going to take our fish and say we are arthorized to give us 200 but can only give 100 wtf? Store is BS I give you over 100 shrimp and over 100 fish and some rare stuff never trade fish in here they screw you over. Not to mention we have to spend an hour and a half sorting the fish by ourselves. Never have that issue at bluefish!

I don't think they know they are in the specialty retail business. I simply asked if they could call me if they recieved a mature bearded dragon for my kids and the response was "we really don't keep a list". LOL...Business must be phenominal.



I read the reviews before going in person and should not have been surprised. Unhelpful. Too bad, as I then took my kids to the local chain and got greeted with "how you guys today? Are you looking for something special". You can kill yourself competing with the chains....your choice.

Twice I have gone to this pet store with the intention of first buying a fish and the second time to buy a puppy never did I leave with a pet for my son because I couldn't get the women who were both obviously running the place to stop talking with their friends or looking at their newspaper to help me. Never again will I return to this store for any reason.
