General Info

Established in 1974, Shore Beach Service provides lifeguards, beach patrol, and surf patrol for the beaches of Hilton Head Island, S.C. It has been a certifying agency for open water lifeguarding since 1995. It also provides umbrellas, chairs, body boards, sailboats and beach cycles on rent basis at numerous locations throughout the beach on the island. Shore Beach Service has been a member of the south Atlantic region of the United States Lifesaving Association since 1989. It is also a chartered member of the Professional Beach Service Association. It provides beach patrol with more than 50 lifeguards, nearly 10 patrol vehicles and a surf patrol boat.
