The next day, I saw Dr. Geersen who diagnosed a problem with my scalene muscles and after frequent visits over two weeks, I improved by 90%. I am now 100% with no recurrence. I recently had a random foot pain that curtailed my regular 3-6 mile walks. After one visit and an additional day of rest and I was back to my regular walks. Dr. Geersen asks many questions, shares his puzzlement as he tries to figure out the problem, and then thoroughly explains what he figures out. I am in my mid-60s and do not take my good physical health and fitness for granted - I will continue to see Dr. Geersen as needed so I can continue my gardening, walking, and skiing for years to come.

Whiplash

More recently, however, I was in a car accident nearly a year ago that resulted in a whole new stress, tension and inflammation of the scalene muscles in the sides of my neck (whiplash). I shudder to think of where I would be now with out the accurate diagnosis and consistent, thorough treatment from Dr. Geersen. My neck continues to improve and there is not a time I leave his office where I don't feel better than when I came in. He is honest, professional and, as I mentioned, thorough in his treatments and types of care. I appreciate how he takes the time to listen carefully, assess and treat with such precision. I highly recommend him as a chiropractor.

He is very knowledgeable in his field, and I would go as far as to say the most knowledgeable chiropractor I have met to date. He is not only a Doctor of Chiropractic, but he is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP), he has Advanced Training in Sports Medicine, he uses the Graston Technique, Active Release Technique, Muscle Activation Technique, and he also has a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. With him it's not just about the spine, but it's the whole body and finding the root of the pain and treating it. He works with the muscle and tissues as well as adjustments. The technique he uses on the neck is also gentle but effective, he uses a special stretching technique sure to make even the most apprehensive person to chiropractic feel comfortable. Not only is he very knowledgeable but he is always learning more things to incorporate into his practice. He is located in a Wells Fargo Office building on the 3rd floor. It is a nice location, easy to find, plenty of parking, and kept very clean. I went in as well was strength tested and did not do to well, especially with my back, and Dr.Geersen really educated me about Fascia. I had no idea it existed. He has really helped me with really helping me work on my back problem and giving me exercises to help myself at home. Have recommended him to friends and family and continue to be a patient.
