Hershey Intermediate School, founded in 1954, operates under the Derry Township School District, and offers educational programs to more than 500 students in grades four and five. Its amenities include telephones and television in each classroom, cafeterias, Internet access, library, and computer and science laboratory. Its curriculum includes English, art, computer application, cooperative education program, English as a second language, family and consumer sciences, foreign language, math, music, reading, social studies, technology education and physical education. The school operates through various departments, including athletics, business office, food services, gifted education, health services, psychological services, technology and transportation. Hershey Intermediate School organizes fun events for its students, such as magazine drive, homecoming celebration, picture day, workshops, seminars, conferences and field trips.
