My wife heard the add on the radio friday night. We showed up saturday morning with two up and coming stars in tow. After almost two hours of the same examples of their successes, and the selectivity of their company, AND especially all the influencial people that come to JRP (That's what the friends call it) to find talent; the family was interviewed, and then the kids got to be "screen tested". Gotta say professionalism wasn't working weekends at John Robert Powers. They started late (very late) the lady droned on and on about her kids, her riches, her famous friends, and all of the kids that owe their entire success to her and her coaching. And constantly dropping names and that "every month -- twice a month" they have important people who will be coming to them.



Not knowing anything, from the words they said, we didn't expect to be involved, because although our kids are truly extraordinary, we doubt they'd be the next Lindsay Lohan, but would you believe that they had "IT". both of them.



Now don't that beat all.



We got a call back, so now with suspicion we wen't back. they have Raised prices to about $100 per hour for 10 weeks of 2 one hour courses.



When I was more interested in the charm school part and teaching them poise, it threw them off a little and other than reciting the the long list of charming attributes they would learn she couldn't give me even the names or the credentials of either teacher that would be involved.



It is certainly a grind, and I assume that they might offer some value to someone, but the sales program is certainly the main part of their focus.
