absolutely nightmare experience.
Nasty, inept and incompetent.
There are not enough words in the English language to describe the nastiness that is this dealership.

I’ve leased Nissan Rogue on 11/07/2016. It’s been 2.5 months and I still haven’t received my license plate. They never answered my calls and voice messages too many times. Furthermore, their impudent behavior made me very angry. Dealers were Luis Urina and Milton Rodriguez, the General sales manager.

1. No Responsibility of taking care of the customer
-No follow up with the situation and leaving it helpless
-No responsibility of their words
-No response or call back (20 times calling) for more than 2.5 months
-Insulting the customer
-Shameless attitude for their mistakes and blaming the customer: Never apologized to me for their actions and refuse to meet in face to face when I visited
-Insisted to drive with an expired plate and bring tickets if I get pulled over

2. Ridiculous mistake: Put the wrong VIN number on the paper work, Billing Package never received due to their wrong address input.
-Clumsy work (No double checking)
-No detail-oriented
-Blaming the customer instead of an apology
-Wasted my time for waiting to correct their mistake on the day I visited (4hours)
-Providing incorrect appointment day (Thanksgiving Day) leading to my personal time consumption

3. Too many unnecessary visits to the dealership
-“New Leased Car” had a problem making a screech noise from the moon-roof (12/01/2016 and 12/05/2016)
-Re-do the paper work due to their mistake: Wrong VIN number on the contract (11/28/2016)
-Visiting due to no response from the dealership (11/24/2016)

They have not offered me any solutions, or much empathy regarding the matter. This inconsiderate behavior has deeply aggravated my feelings for Nissan. I truly regret my contract with Nissan.

Where do I start...let me first say I have been around this business my entire life as my dad, before he retired has always been an executive for the corporate end of the automotive business so I grew up around dealers. I say this with ALL honesty I have never had such a great car buying experience and this is the first time I've ever bought a car from a dealer I didn't personally know. Andrew, who has been there something like 27 years(something that you just don't see in that business) first greeted me in a friendly, absolutely no pressure manner. (Go walk into a high pressure store, then walk into this one and you'll understand what I mean about feeling comfortable). After offering me something to drink he asked me what I was looking for. I told him straight out what I wanted(a 2014 maxima) and what I wanted to pay which was basically near cost. He went to to see if he could do the deal and out walked the Sales Manager Xavier, who greeted me with an HONEST smile, something you really don't get at dealers and said he'd be happy to help me out and asked if I was comfortable and if I had any concerns. To be honest i was in shock, good shock. No pressure and he made me feel like family. Everything went super smoothly and along with the best price out there I felt comfortable and they gained a customer for life and anyone I know that needs a Nissan. Long story short, if you're looking for a Nissan of any kind go see these two guys Andrew and Xavier, they're true professionals and two of the nicest guys you'd want to meet. When I went back to get my plates everyone said hello the place just has a great vibe to it. Long story short let me close with this. This is the dealer I would feel 100% sending my wife to buy a car and not be fearful of her walking out in tears like most dealers. That's about the best compliment I could give any dealer. If you had a bad experience with another dealer go see these guys! I know this review seemed extremely positive but let me tell you no one coerced me into writing this it was just my overall experience. Happy car buying! Oh PS. They have a huge inventory and if they don't have the car they'll have it for you either that same day or the next at the latest. Along with being a 27 year veteran of the dealership, Andrew is also their "swap" guy so he has the connections to get cars. Little fact I thought I should throw in there that I found out while purchasing.

I would just like to say that the main reason this dealership gets such high marks is because of the above and beyond service I received from Tony D and Engell. They are great professionals, respectful, and very concerned in helping me out with my car issue. Followed up with me and kept me informed of everything that was going on. I can't say enough about how lucky this dealership is to have these two gentlemen representing the dealership.

I wish I could rate them NO STARS!

In late October, I brought my car to Meadowlands Nissan for an Oil Change. JUST an oil change! I also asked about having a spare key made.

An hour & a half later, the service rep brought me a paper to sign. I saw the charges were high, but I assumed the high price was for the electronic key. So I signed. And I waited. And waited. And WAITED. I missed the appointment to pick up my sick dog at the vet. and I waited some more.

Eventually they came out with a bill for over $600. It stated "15K service performed at Customer's request". At no time did I EVER request a 15K service. The car has had 5K, 10K, 15K, 25K and 50K services, and it hasn't even got 12K miles on it yet. The charge for the key - the plain old key - was over $200. It did not include the electronic gadget for locking the car, which was what I needed most. Oh yeah, and they also said that the car - which gets driven less than 15 miles per week - needed brakes and an alignment.

I was livid but did not want to cause a scene in the waiting room. However, it only got worse. Last week, I used that overpriced key for the first time. It screwed up something so bad my car wouldn't start. I had to have the car towed to a different Nissan dealer who charged $125.

Naturally, Meadowlands Nissan has no intention of doing anything to rectify their dishonest "Bait & Switch" tactics or their shoddy workmanship with the key.

I would recommend avoiding their service department at any cost. If you do use their service, take their recommendations with a grain of salt, and get a second opinion from a reliable dealer. If I'd BELIEVED their recommendation, I would have spent another couple of hundred dollars on brake services that were certainly not necessary on a car with less than 12,000 miles on it.

Didn't fix anything

I took my Nissan in for some warranty work. My had factory installed subwoofer was not working it never did, my front left speaker was also bad I think it is cracked. I took it in they gave me the car back and told me that they had fixed everything. I check the car before I drive off to make sure all was well and what do you know the subwoofer was still not working and speaker sounded better but by no means was it a new speaker cause it still sounded like crap. I left it their for another day came back and the same problem. Out of frustration I just took my car and left things how they were. To this day I'm driving around with no subwoofer in the back;however I did change the front speaker myself.

Don't go to this dealer.

I had a similar experience with the service department where they asked for more than $1,500 and my local mechanic ended up fixing it for under $200.

These guys are crooks so watch out.

Bad service department

Be warned - I took my missan there for a diagnostic check and Lou told me it would cost me $1,800 buck for a new ECU and cluster.

My car was having many electrical problems so they though they had a chance to screw me.

Well I took matters on my own hands, getting all the repair manuals and wiring schemes and fixed it for 5 bucks.... yes 5 bucks, that's how much an ignition relay cots at a junk yard.

I'm so upset at these guys that I plan on taking these matters high and report their a$$ to the better business bureau.

I mean c'mon $1,800 for $5, it's like going to the doctor for a blister and he says you need a new arm and leg and it's going to cost you $100K.

You be the judge to my frustration.
