Wrongful Termination
In our employment law practice, our attorneys provide representation and advice to business clients in all areas of employment law from hiring to termination. We provide assistance in areas such as employment agreements, covenants not to compete, wage and hour law, compliance with the various state and federal employment laws, trade secrets and restrictive covenants. Our firm is also experienced in such matters as employee policies and employee handbooks, wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, termination and severance agreements, and general employment matters.
Employment Discrimination
Our attorneys also assist our clients in their employment law matters. Every employer must be fully cognizant of personnel law when making the decisions to hire, discipline and terminate employees. We have drafted employment agreements for many clients, reviewed and drafted employee handbooks, assisted clients in complying with state and federal requirements, and represented employers before the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission on employment discrimination claims. Federal and state regulations are constantly changing, and our attorneys regularly advise business clients about how to stay current with the law. These areas of changing regulations include complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and other federal and state laws.

We also advise and assist individuals regarding various employment issues, including professional licensing issues and employment agreements. We have represented individuals before the Pennsylvania Civil Service Commission and the Pennsylvania Department of State, Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs and before the courts.

Real Estate Litigation
Our attorneys also regularly represent individuals who are buying or selling homes. Regardless of whether a client is utilizing the services of a real estate sales agent, an attorney knowledgeable in real estate matters is an essential part of the team. When representing a buyer in a standard residential real estate purchase, our firm generally charges no legal fees beyond the title insurance premium.

The attorneys at Wix, Wenger & Weidner are accustomed to assisting our business clients through every step of a commercial or residential real estate transaction, from the time the client identifies a property to the time the project is completed. Wills
Sound estate planning involves not only the creation of a Will or Trust, but also advising our clients on other matters that relate to their estates. Bankruptcy
The attorneys at Wix, Wenger & Weidner are experienced at representing creditors in bankruptcy cases. Often a person or business who owes money will seek protection from their creditors by filing for bankruptcy. Bankruptcy can be a complicated maze of procedures and requirements, and we regularly will help our clients navigate bankruptcy law and the courts. We help ensure that our clients’ rights are protected to the fullest extent possible by analyzing the bankruptcy filing to make sure that the debtor is entitled to protection, filing proofs of claims to register our clients claim for payment owed, and creatively analyzing whether any other action is appropriate.
