        Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is a nonprofit, tax-exempt trade association founded in 1934. The association is owned by its member credit unions, and is governed by a nine-member board of directors. It provides legislative, professional development, and operational support and services to more than 550 credit unions in Pennsylvania. Its awards committee is responsible for judging entries for the association s professional of the year award, volunteer of the year award, award for social responsibility, award for philosophy in action, and award for financial literacy. The association s governmental affairs committee reviews legislative, regulatory and public policy matters, and makes recommendations to its board of directors. The organization is affiliated with the National Credit Union Administration, Credit Union House, World Council of Credit Unions, and Pennsylvania Department of Banking. Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is located in Harrisburg, Pa.
