Located in Hanover Park, Ill., Horizon Elementary School serves more than 600 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school s curriculum is based on the brain research of learning and reading styles of elementary-grade students. It offers physical education, special education, speech therapy, music, library, Title 1 and counseling programs. Horizon Elementary School offers a range of subjects, such as reading, mathematics, writing, spelling, social studies, science and phonics for students in grades one and two. Additionally, the school conducts classes in music and fine arts. It also operates a library that offers various resources, such as books and newspapers. Horizon Elementary School operates a parent-teacher association that funds and supports academic programs and social activities.
