Easton Auction is a sham

I recently bid on and won a silver panda bullion coin, 1 troy oz.. When I received it in the mail I knew the moment I held it that i had been sold a fake. It was so light anyone who deals with coins regularly would also know it was a fake. When I called this auction company to let them know about selling me a counterfeit coin, I was pretty much told to pound sand. Any reputable auctioneer would have immediately apologized, been remorseful and offer to refund me my money. Not these scammers. There excuse was they didn't weigh it, blah, blah, blah. Very lame excuses for being in a business whose job it is to know value of items.

I've reported them to Proxibid and will also be notifying the federal authorities, as it is a crime to pass counterfeit coins from any where in the world.

Beware folks, if they will so blatantly try to sell counterfeit coins what other lowball tactics are they committing.

Along with their 17% buying premium I was charged an $8.00 handling fee to ship 1 coin and of course shipping costs. A 40.00 bid eventually cost me 61.00 plus for a counterfeit coin. They don't get any lower than this folks. Are these guys slimy or what???

Yikes - did a more thorough search on Easton auction. There are lots of complaints for them selling counterfeit coins. This is a very shady company. Hope the feds bring them down.

Another Yikes - They are rated F, the worst rating by the Better Business Bureau

More yikes, a deeper google search shows they are probably selling fake baseball cards also.

Most of the time you can get items reasonable cheap. And they are super nice to you if you want them to sell stuff for you. However i have bought many items and found they were broken. Items are glued, or touched up to look in good shape. lamps and other electrical items dont work or have missing pieces. The company is not honest and forthcoming about the items they sell. They cheat and lie and cover up to make a buck. Make sure you examine furniture and tables, toys anything and everything you purchase. If you purchase something and find something is missiong or broken, Jim says you bought as is and where is and he doesnt give a care. They glue items together and tell you they are in perfect condition, or paint over stuff.. Dolls and toys have broken parts that are covered up , believe me I have been taken one time too many. And cloth furniture is only sprayed with watered down alcohol not treated with a bed bug soluttion that is supposed to be standard. Beware! BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU PURCHASE OR YOU MAY WASTE YOUR MONEY. Try an auction house that discloses the damage and is honest to you like Kramer and Kramer, they are up front and honest and very professional in conduct and speech.. Also at the Easton Auction the auctioneer Jim is very vulgar and makes inappropriate comments and claims to be a christian. He thinks he is funny. He and his wife also treat their employees rudely right in front of the customers, and yells at them over stupid stuff. He has an anger problem and it shows. Dont just take my word for it, go visit and see for yourself. And then go to a real auction and see professionals at work. A world of difference!

Moms estate

Our mother died and we were left with her home of 40+ years and were not sure what we were going to do. I called the Easton Auction Co and told them our delema. Jim came out looked over her things and we talked about our options. I was glad to know that they could either move the items to the Auction Center they own with their U-Hauls or do the sale at her home. We let them do it at her home and they used their partner auctioner to sell the home as well. It worked great first they went out of their way to help us move some things we needed to keep with their U-Haul then set up her house for the auction. When we were done we had more money than we expected and had the house sold for a great price even in this market. We had our check in hand less than 90 days from the date they got the probate info from our lawuer. I wil recomend the Easton Auction co to every one I know. John H. West Wood p.s. my nieghbor just after our estate auction took items to the Auction Center and was thrilled with the service she recived bringing in only a few art pottery items.
