Merritt Auction Service

Have waited since July 2022 for the rest of my money.
I have heard excuse after excuse but no money
I would never recommend or use them again.
This has been a dreadful experience, never to be repeated.

Almost seemed like a scam. Took my 90+ items, gave a 6$ check after they had to call me back because there computer was in for service. Will never do business with again.

I TOTALLY disagree with the other reviewer. This company has been in business since the 1950s and has 3rd generation auctioneers on staff. To say they are not aware of what things sell for, etc is just plain WRONG! At an auction, the price that items sell for is dictated by the crowd/bidders, NOT the auctioneers. The auctioneer is merely a host, organizing and refereeing​ the sale, so to speak. This company has conducted several sales for me and extended family members and have ALWAYS been 100% professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I think that their many years in business is testament enough to support that statement.

Worst company ever. Ran the sale fast and did not care about the price things sold for. They just wanted the sale over and to get their money. They were very unprofessional and rude. They should not be in the auction business and should stick with tent rental. I do not recommend them. They had no knowledge of what things were or there value. What another company would have taken two days to do the sale they did in 2 hours. I would have been better off hiring the three stooges.
