Portage Apartment

I interviewed with Mary at the Portage on 23rd Street S.a couple of times through the years, and several times lately. There is also a Portage on the North side around 46th Street & 4th Ave; it sounds like this was the building Richard O and hangie.santos mentioned in their reviews. The Portage on 23rd Street South is around 11 years old and looks new, inside and out. The feeling you get when you first walk in is this must be a brand new building. I looked at several apartments and they were absolutely spotless. The hallways were spotless, as well as other common areas throughout the building. Mary has been there many years; she goes above& beyond when it comes to helping people. If my paperwork is approved and I'm fortunate enough to move out of a neighborhood where I have lived for the past 17 years, and now where the younger people are taking over with their loud stereos that rattles windows, fighting, &shootings, I know I'll have a friend as well as a manager there.

Went to view apt. by appointment with Kim at 9 AM, Friday, August 1, 2014. Called her cell number to get in. She wasn't even there. Said we had made appointment for Thursday, July 31. 2014 the day I first calleed to make the appoint ment. She is a liar. Should be fired or at least severely repremanded

Went in to check out the apartment, and it was the ghetto-est place I've ever seen. Carpets where messed up, kitchen and bathroom where absolutely filthy...it was just horrible! Wouldn't rent here even if it was free.
