Granite Bay Kennels

We have been boarding with Granite Bay Kennels over five years . Our dogs love it there . We have peace of mind knowing that are dogs are in a safe place while we are out of town . The safe are very experienced and Friendly. Highly Reccommened.

I dropped my dog of for 3 days at granite bay kennel. It was the longest time i've spent Away from my dog. I was very nervous about it but the people at granite bay kennel made me feel comfortable about leaving my dog. When I returned to pick my dog up he looked very happy the kennel workers told me they were able to pair him up with another dog so he got to have a friend to play with. My dog didn't have any problems he was happy and I think he is looking forward to another trip to the kennel. I Strongly Recommend this Kennel.

We recently boarded our dogs at this Beautiful Country Inn. Lovely Clean place with friendly staff. We were very impressed by how happy our dogs were when we picked them up. We received a report card on pick up ... great idea.... WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND......

We left our 10 lb. Havanese there on New Year's eve. for two nights.



First problem we had was a communication problem. Over the phone they told us we couldn't pick up New Year's day ... but we could pick him up the next day with no extra charge. When we went to pick him up on the 2nd, they said we could have picked him up on the 1st for an extra $40 "special" pick up charge, and when they said "no extra charge", they meant no $40 "special" pick up charge, but they were still charging for the 2nd night. Most businesses try to err in the customer's favor for miscommunications, but they wouldn't budge and had our dog, so we paid for two nights.



Second thing we noticed was that when our dog got into the car, he wouldn't stop whining. We eventually figured out he wanted some water so we gave him a small cup of water which he licked clean. Then he kept whining until we gave him a second cup. We have never seen him do that before.



Last thing is when we went to take him to my grandparent's house a couple weeks later, he *really* didn't want to go into the car. He usually loves car rides, but he was clearly scared that he was going back to the same kennel.



We are still giving 2 stars because he wasn't hurt or anything, and the people were friendly enough even though they wouldn't budge on the price even while admitting they may not have been entirely clear. We won't go here again.
