Yasser Al-Khatib, MD, FAAP, FACC, FSCAI, is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Al-Khatib earned his medical degree from University of Aleppo School of Medicine in Syria and completed his pediatrics residency at University of Maryland in Baltimore. He completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and his fellowship in advanced cardiac catheterization and intervention at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Al-Khatib previously provided patient care at Cleveland Clinic Children's. Dr. Al-Khatib's clinical interests include cardiac catheterization and intervention, including atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect, patent foramen ovale, patent ductus arteriosus closure. His interests also include valvuloplasty, coarctation of the aorta, pulmonary arteries and veins angioplasty and pulmonary valve transcatheter insertion.
